Northam is welcoming Western Australia’s first solar car park – which is set to provide 40 percent of the electricity needed by its adjoining shopping centre.
The car park and shopping centre redevelopment in the Wheatbelt town was officially unveiled by Minister for Regional Development ALANNAH MacTIERNAN yesterday morning.
Nine-hundred solar panels were involved in the project as part of the 15 million-dollar redevelopment.
